Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated scientist to lead the development and execution of somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT)-based cloning operations in pigs for xenotransplantation. This role is central to establishing a robust, GMP-compliant cloning pipeline

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and perform SCNT procedures to generate cloned porcine embryos
  • Optimize donor cell preparation, enucleation, nuclear transfer, activation, and embryo culture protocols
  • Coordinate with the animal husbandry and embryology teams for embryo transfer and pregnancy management
  • Maintain detailed experimental records and SOPs in line with GMP requirements
  • Analyze and troubleshoot cloning efficiencies and embryo development outcomes
  •

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Reproductive Biology, Veterinary Science, Developmental Biology, or related field
  • Hands-on experience with SCNT in large animals
  • Deep understanding of embryology, oocyte handling, micromanipulation, and in vitro embryo culture
  • Familiarity with quality standards in regulated/GMP environments preferred
  •

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly capable scientist to lead the design and execution of molecular quality control processes for cloned, gene-edited pigs. This role is critical for establishing data-driven QC systems that ensure animal health, genetic fidelity, and compliance with GMP standards for xenotransplantation applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and validate QC assays to assess genetic integrity, gene edit stability, and transgene expression
  • Perform routine PCR/qPCR, genotyping, sequencing, and expression analysis on tissue and blood samples
  • Develop protocols for disease screening and pathogen exclusion (e.g., PERVs, PCMV, Mycoplasma)
  • Establish baseline biomarker panels and reference ranges for animal health monitoring
  • Analyze QC data to identify deviations, trends, and ensure ongoing process validation
  • Document and maintain all QC activities per GMP and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with cloning, animal care, and regulatory teams to ensure QC integration across the workflow

Basic Qualifications

  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, or related field
  • Strong hands-on experience with PCR, qPCR, DNA/RNA isolation, and molecular diagnostics
  • Familiarity with biosafety, contamination control, and veterinary diagnostics is a plus
  • Experience in GMP/GLP settings or with regulated pipelines is highly desirable
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of independently setting up scalable QC workflows

Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and organized Herd Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate the management of multiple pig herds essential to our xenotransplantation pipeline. This role ensures the steady, biosecure, and efficient supply of animals for cloning, oocyte donation, gestation, and GMP-grade organ harvesting.

Role Summary:

  • Oversee day-to-day management of four distinct herds:
    • Breeding Herd
    • Oocyte Donor Herd
    • Mother Herd (Gestational Carriers)
    • GMP Herd (Designated for Transplantation)
  • Develop and implement herd rotation, animal tracking, and health monitoring schedules
  • Coordinate with cloning and QC teams to align animal availability with workflow demands
  • Implement and manage smart herd management systems for real-time animal tracking, digital health records, breeding schedules, and predictive analytics
  • Ensure adherence to strict biosecurity, isolation, and hygiene protocols across all facilities
  • Supervise animal care staff, track breeding performance, and optimize productivity per herd
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical records for each animal (lineage, health status, usage history)
  • Support regulatory compliance and audits related to animal welfare and facility standards

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in managing livestock herds, preferably in swine or biomedical models
  • Strong understanding of animal husbandry, breeding cycles, and health management
  • Experience in regulated or high-biosecurity environments (e.g., SPF, GMP) preferred
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills; ability to coordinate across teams and timelines
